telehealth therapy

Telehealth services opens doors for people who may have previously found it challenging to engage with traditional therapy by alleviating the stress associated with commuting and scheduling in-person appointments.

Online treatment may provide a level of privacy and comfort, which can be particularly beneficial for those apprehensive about discussing sensitive topics face-to-face. Telehealth treatment can establish a safe and supportive environment, through a secure platform, promoting open dialogue and fostering a strong therapeutic alliance.

MEET ELISHA

Founder of Cortex Psychology

At the centre of Cortex Psychology is a belief in the power of therapy to support clarity, insight and real change in a safe, supportive environment.

I founded Cortex Psychology with the intention of helping people better understand themselves and build the tools they need to align their lives with what matters most to them.

The name Cortex refers to the brain structure which plays a crucial role in thinking, learning and consciousness. Cortex Psychology aims to bring consciousness to cognitive and emotional processes, supporting people to engage more intentionally with their thoughts, behaviours, and relationships.

With experience across both private practice and the public mental health system as a Senior Clinical Psychologist, I established Cortex Psychology to offer confidential psychological treatment to clients preferring video or phone-based therapy. My goal is to empower individuals to enhance their resilience and emotional agility to move through life with more confidence.

  • Yes. All sessions are strictly confidential, in line with ethical standards. There are rare exceptions where disclosure is required by law (e.g., if someone is at serious risk of harm). We will discuss this with you during our initial appointment.
